Crisel Consunji - Artist / Educator

Practically growing up on the stage, Crisel has lived for the curtain call. In recent years, another calling has tugged at her values. As a creative arts educator, she now finds joy in using the arts to empower strong families and creative communities.
A little throwback to last summer’s #Kindermusik camp at @baumhaus_hk. “I don’t like labelling ‘Monster Parents’ because parents make their decisions based on what they believe is best for their children. That doesn’t make them monsters. The system has made families believe that ‘earlier, faster and bigger is better.’ " Our role as educators is to empower parents to be the best parents they can be, making choices based on developmentally appropriate practice, rather than on market-driven pressure for a child to succeed at an early age.
